Midnightkit sat outside the nursery entrance, her black pelt smooth. She was in an extremely good mood- to the point where she was purring... It was rare for the quiet, usually rude kit. Midnightkit took a deep, happy breath, her chest vibrating with the purr that she released. She blinked in happiness, the sun warming her nicely. I wonder... Midnightkit suddenly felt bold, "Any cat want to play a game?" She called out. You know that Midnightkit's in a good mood when she's willing to call out like that... It's just not something she usually does.

Skykit rolled over in the nest, moaning. There had been a thorn in the nest, and it had been digging into his side all night. "Stop moaning and stand up." Mintleaf mewed, stopping grooming Moonkit's fur and padding over to Skykit. "It was just a little thorn." she purred, nudging her kit out of the nest and onto his paws with her nose. Skykit mewled in protest, "I'm tired!" Mintleaf rolled her eyes, "Well complaining won't do anything. You can take a nap later. Why don't you go play with Moonkit?" she suggested. Skykit turned to look atMoonkit. She was playing with a moss ball. Boooooring! Instead, Skykit pricked his ears when he heard Midnightkit call out, "Any cat want to play a game?" Skykit perked up and raced out of the nursery. Moonkit dropped the moss ball and trotted after him. "I'll play a game!" Skykit mewed, his eyes shining with excitement.

Midnightkit turned to the voice and saw Skykit. "Hi, Skykit!" Her tail raised into the air in happiness and her red eyes actually showed feeling- and a good one at that. Midnightkit really was happy; which was rare, especially considering her parents both died so recently... The she-kit stood up and mewed, "Hi, Moonkit!" She noticed that the she-kit was trotting after Skykit. Midnightkit blinked at the other two kits to show friendliness, "What game?" The black-furred kit asked, not caring either way. Seems like things are getting better! Midnightkit thought hopefully, resisting the urge to look up at the sky. She was normally able to resist such things, but this time she couldn't. Darkclaw... Lightningstorm.. I'm happy now, see? She thought, looking up. Midnightkit figured that's what her parents wanted- her happiness.
Midnightkit shook herself to be rid of the sad thoughts and looked back at the other two kits, her eyes brightening once again. "Sorry about that.."

"Don't worry!" Moonkit smiled, while Skykit pondered on what game to play. "I know!" he cried. With a lower voice, so no other cat would hear, he whispered, "Let's play Escape From Camp! We have to try to sneak out of camp, unnoticed, and make it to the Babbling Brook without getting caught! Maybe we can even cross the river!" he tried his best to make sure that no cat could hear him. Moonkit scuffled her paws uneasily at the game Skykit had in mind, "I dunno, Skykit. What if we get hurt? Or in trouble? Or what if we got caught by Thunderclan cats?" her eyes widened in fear as she thught of all the horrible things that could happen to them. "Oh, don't be such a scaredy-mouse, Moonkit? What could happen?" Moonkit opened her mouth to reply, but Skykit plowed on, "And besides, think of all the stuff we'll see!" His tail quivered with excitement, "Midnightkit, do you wanna go?"

Midnightkit thought for a few moments, "I agree with Moonkit- we shouldn't go. We'll be able to see all of that stuff when we're apprentices." She wasn't the type to dream ahead and wish she was an apprentice or a warrior really quickly- Midnightkit wanted to enjoy being a kit while it lasted. Despite what she said, Midnightkit still considered the game. Should we? It'd be interesting but the consequences could be worse than the fun we have escaping and going to the Babbling Brook.. She flicked her tail in annoyance, trying to decide. Midnightkit was the type of cat to consider all options before actually choosing, and when she chose her mind was set. "Well..." Midnightkit mewed, trying to show that she actually wasn't sure yet, "I'm still trying to decide."

Skykit's tail thumped to the ground in disappointment. It had been such a good idea. He began to think up new ideas, quickly sifting through all the plans and games he had stored in his mind. "Hey, How about we hide in the reeds near the entrance, and when the hunting patrol returns in a few minutes, we can ambush them!" his tail shot straight up at his new idea, and he looked at Midnightkit hopefully. "Well, that certainly is a better idea than sneaking out of camp..." Moonkit mewed, "Let's do it!" (sorry it's short, my muse has dropped a bit, should go up soon)

(That's okay)
Midnightkit stopped thinking over her options of the previous suggestion when Skykit made a new suggestion. She shrugged, "Sure!" The kit blinked and hissed playfully, "race you two there!" Midnightkit turned and ran over to the reeds, feeling excitement and energy rush through her as she neared the reeds, not knowing if Skykit and Moonkit had ran after her or not, or how close they were behind her if they had. This is definitely going to be exciting! She thought happily.

Skykit bounded after Midnightkit excitedly, leaping into the reeds until he was hidden from site, but could still see the entrance. Moonkit ran after the two kits, but even though she was running as fast as she could, the little kit couldn't keep up with the two. Finally, she reached their hiding place. "When are they gonna come?" she whispered excitedly. "Dunno." Skykit muttered, pricking his ears for signs of movement. Finally, the patrol entered camp. "ATTACK!" Skykit yowled, leaping out from the reeds and umping ontop of one of the warriors. Moonkit leapt out after him, managing to grab onto some cats tail and cling onto it.

(Sorry for late post)
Midnightkit leaped out at a cat and hoped to cling to their flank. She hissed playfully and blinked up at the cat, not able to see them. The sun was blinding her and she yet out a yelp of pain as her eyes reached it. Midnightkit leaped down and closed her eyes, flowing her paws along them in annoyance and pain. She blinked a few times before turning back to the cat she'd leaped at and jumped up again, going too fast to pay attention to their appearance or scent.
