Psst, staff members: WAFFLE HOUSE
Yes, this site does have rules. Sorry. But while it may seem like rules can make things seem less fun, you will thank me in the end. So follow them or the ninja tacos will eat your brains!!!
Rule #1: Respect admins and members.
We like to think of WHH as a home, and meanness doesn't have a place here. So, here's the way it'll go down:
Being awful will result in a warning. If warnings pile on then Rat will have Nezumi devour your characters.
Thankies :{D
Rule #2 Word Count, etc.
Quality matters so much more than quantity. It's possible to have one sentence that's so awesome it could make the moon break in half, just because it's such a beautiful sentence. It's also possible to have a thousand words that are so full of fluff a sheep would puke if it were to read it. In short; write to make something amazing and don't stress about how much you've got of it.
But, if you do a two worded post, I will ask you to change it. Try to make your posts easy to understand and detailed, please. I don't want any "Flutterflight laughed." posts.
If you want the posts in your thread to be longer, put a word count in the title, just the # of words, not the word Word Count. Like this: La Di Da(200) That way people will know that this thread has a word count of 200. If someone ignores this fact or doesn't see it in the title, the author of the thread or an admin can tell the person to change it. They will have 24 hours, unless they are on vacation, which I will explain later. If they do not change it within 24 hours an admin will delete the post and the writer will receive a PM from me saying "Hey, we deleted your post in the thread "La Di Da" because you did not follow the word count rules."
That cool? Cool 8)<this is a guy with sunglasses in case you couldn't tell, hehe. Sunglasses.
Since this rule had an etcetera thingy, I will also tell you that please, please, PLEASE post in your threads asap. That way we can keep things moving and your thread won't fizzle out. If you want someone to post before you, PM them or tell them in the Cbox that you think they should post first. But don't wait too long for them.
Last thing: Stay on topic. Example:
Hey, I need a mate for my cat Hopesong
My dog died, I flunked out of school, and the world hates me.
...No, that just won't work. Stay on topic.
Rule #3: Going away temporarily/forever.
Well gee. Don't leave forever, please!
Anyways, if you are going away, unless it's only for a day or less, leave people your characters. Even a weekend, people need them in threads. So leave them to a few people, not just one, that you think could play them the best, and tell them what threads the characters are in.
If you get a character try to stay active with them and your other characters. But don't do anything drastic to the character(breaking bones, dieing, getting or breaking up with a mate) unless you have the real owners permission. It would be a big surprise if a person leaves you someone and you say
"Welcome back! Oh hey, you know that charrie you gave me, Heartwing? While you were away I had her get eaten by a pack of vicious wolves."
So. Not. OK
Rule #4: Your character bio/ amount/ and other stuff
The bio isn't very long, so please follow it. You can use any picture, as long as the picture fits the age, although you can say she looks older/younger than she is, as long as it isn't too drastic. If you are going to follow this rule, write cobra cobra in your bio form.
Have as much charries as you want, just make sure they stay active.
Rule #5:Siggies
Do your best to make sure that your sig. doesn't stretch the board. If a lot of people complain about your siggie, I will ask you to try and make it smaller. If no one complains, I'm fine with it.
Rule #6: Graphics
Stealing graphics is not only wrong, but it can get this site and proboards in a lot of trouble if you take a pic from the wrong person. The easy way to avoid accidentally stepping on someone's copyrighted toes is to search for images with creative commons. If you need help finding graphics then please pm Rat for help.
Rule #7:Cbox
Spamming is irritating and not fun to deal with. The same rules that apply to the site apply to the Cbox.
Rule #8: Advertising
Making a new site is hard. Please, place the ad for your site in the ad board, nowhere else. Not the cbox either. Sorry for the inconvenience, but you can still advertise for it.
Rule 9:No godmodding/powerplays
It goes like this: Do it once, warning. Do it again, Rat will have Nezumi devour your characters. Mini powerplays, such as "Raggedpaw walked into camp with Mintpaw" with Mintpaw not being your charrie, are a-okay, but say your sorry because it really is powerplaying at a smaller scale.
Lastly, have FUN!
The name says it all
I like being a fun person, so follow the rules, please. Thankies!
