Daisystar pushed her way out of her den and blinked sleep out of her eyes. It was early morning in leafbare, and the dawn patrol had already been sent out. She considered going back to her den for another moment or two of shut eye, but she knew better. If she closed her eyes once she'd start sleeping for a moon. Daisystar's gaze swept across the clearing in search for her apprentice. She had told him the night before to be ready bright and early to go on a hunting patrol. He still hadn't perfected his bird crouch. When she didn't see him she walked over to the Apprentice den, nosed her way through the opening, and padded over to Falconpaw. She prodded him sharply and whispered "Falconpaw, you aren't a dormouse. Wake up, we're going hunting!"

Falconpaw slowly opened his eyes "hunting?" he asked confused then fluttered his eyes a bit, realized that it was his mentor and jumped up afraid of getting in trouble "Hunting yes I knew that, im sorry," he stammered stumbling over his words, "I will try to be more on time in the future." Triping over his feet, he walked out of the den behind Daisystar head down ahamed of letting her down. Getting sleep out of his eyes he straitened up trying to look as tall and strong as posible, he strode comfidently behind Daisystar. Once in the center of the clearing when he spotted his mother walking from the warriors den giving him a nod of encoragement. He got so destracted by her that he just about ran right into Daisystar. Fortunantly he stopped himself at the last moment and just bumped into her a little "im sorry" he said quickly, "I think im still a little asleep but I will wake up soon."

Daisystar purred, "Don't fret Falconpaw, I'm not angry. Relax, I don't expect you to be perfect." she rest her fluffy tail on his shoulder reassuringly and led him out of the den and into the clearing. She began to head to the camp exit when she felt Falconpaw bump into her from behind. She turned to him, and when she heard him yammering an apology, she purred in amusement, "Calm down. You must remember that I'm your mentor, not just your leader. We're supposed to be friends, and I doubt you apologize this much to your denmates. You don't have to worry about all these little things, Flaconpaw. Now come, we have to get some prey. It's leafbare and I don't like the look of an empty fresh-kill pile." she trotted out of camp, enjoying the sunshine that shone on her, warming her fur. It felt pleasant, and she hoped that it was a sign that it wouldn't snow. As fun as snow could be, the snow would force all the prey to hide in their dens, and she didn't want that. Once she reached the Elder Tree, she stopped and turned to Falconpaw. "Why do you smell?" she prompted.

Bounding out of camp behind Daisystar with more enthusiasm than before. They walked through the forest. Finally, they got to the elder tree. Falconpaw listened closly to Daisystar. Then he turned his attention to everything around him. He lifted his nose to the air "I smell mouse." He looked around, whiskers twitching with excitment and ears moving forward and back trying to hear any prey, when he spots the mouse on the ground about one foxlength away. Very confidently, he crouches and stalks toward it slowly, tail not moving, not daring to move his gaze from the animal. Once he is about a two mouse lengths away he flicked his tail, tensed his mussles, and pounced, soaring through the air onto the mouse. The mouse had tried to run away, but Falconpaw was already ontop of it, giving it a final bite. Proud of himself, he picked his prey up and carried it over to Daisystar and layed it at her feet, thanking Starclan for the life of the animal. "Did I do good?" He questioned, hoping to get her approval.

"Excellent." Daisystar nodded approvingly, "but remember to keep your tail still the whole time. Don't flick your tail before you pounce," she pricked her ears, scenting a strong scent of vole. She knew this was prey she couldn't afford to lose. "Like this," she whispered, crouching low to the ground and shuffling her feet slowly. When she was a tail-length away, she shot forward and landed squarely on it's back, killing it quickly and cleanly. It was then when another vole scurried out of the bush where the other vole was, scurrying straight at Falconpaw.

Amazed about how expertly Daisystar caught the vole, Falconpaw almost let the vole run right past him. Right before the vole got away, Falconpaw thought fast, crouched, and jumped right onto the vole, killing it with a final bite. Glad he caught the vole for his clan, he set it down next to the mouse. "This is great we already have three pieces of fresh kill," Falconpaw said excitedly licking his paws.

Daisystar nodded happily, her tail flicking excitedly. "This is quite a lot of prey! We haven't seen this much in a while. But I don't think there will be much prey left here, so we'd better go somewhere else." She thought for a oment. Somewhere wooded, and also near a border. How about Treeline?she padded off in the direction of a thickly wooded area, waving her tail back and forth. After a bit of walking they reached the Stormclan border. "What do you smell?" She asked once again.

Stoping next to Daisystar, Falconpaw put his nose in the air, whiskers twiching, "I smell stormclan alot and some faint thrush." He murmered "also a thunderclan patrole has been through recently." Turning his ears forward he attempted to hear or smell any prey that is nearby "I dont smell any prey around here right now," he said disapointed. Looking around he spotted a cat on the other side of the border. "There is a cat watching us over their," he flicked his ears to where the cat was standing while whispered to Daisystar.

Lyric, in her cat form, walked to the Treeline border, ready to mark the boundary to show Thunderclan who was boss of Windclan territory now. As she approached she spotted none other than Daisystar herself, a bit to close to her territory for her liking. She bounded over to them, bristling angrily. "Paws off our territory!" she snarled. When she spotted the vole Falconpaw was carrying, she got even angrier. "That better not be a Stormclan vole! Because if it is, I'll skin you." she spat.
Daisystar nodded at her apprentice, "Yes, there is." her eyes narrowed in dislike. When the cat came bounding up to her, she called out, her voice full of authority, "Yes, Lyric. What do you want?" she then bristled at her accusations. "We didn't cross the border, we have every right to patrol our own territory!"

"Ya!" Falconpaw shouted as he bounded up to lyric untill they where nose to nose "Why would we want your kittypet prey? You probubly dont even know how to hunt! I caught that vole myself, I dont need ur territory to feed my clan!" He said bristling, "you need to go back to your kittypet owners you little mouse brained towleg pet! You are so paranoied and selfish. I bet you crossed our border and are hunting on our territory no wonder their is no prey around here. Even though you cant even hunt!" Still nose to nose with lyric he didnt more a mussle not wanting to back down.

Daisystar bristled in shock. "Falconpaw!" she shouted angrily, "You do not talk to a clan deputy that way! Get back on our side of the boundary NOW!" Lyric snickered at Falconpaw's reaction, "Well well well, it looks like we have a bold little Thunderclan apprentice. How rare, usually I just see a bunch of mouse-hearted cowards. Better listen to your mentor, little Falconpaw. You wouldn't want the greatest clan in the forest mad at you, now would you?" to punctuate the end of her sentence, she sliced a claw across Falconpaw's nose, splitting it open. "But since you don't seem to want to back off our territory, it looks like I'll have to force you." she lept onto Falconpaw, pinned him down, and scored her claws, which were as sharp as her talons on her eagle form, down his belly. She then picked him up by the scruff and flung him back onto Thunderclan territory. "And stay out!" she yowled. Daisystar rushed over to Falconpaw, and turned her head angrily towards Lyric. "It wasn't neccesary to hurt him that badly!" she snarled. Lyric turned up her nose in disgust, "He didn't have to get all up in my face and insult my clan."

"Lyric!" Nezumi barks, striding towards the small group of cats. "What are you doing, stooping to their level?" He sits down next to his Beta and stretches his long front legs. Another border skirmish... they just pile up. Until the other clans agree to recognize Stormclan, though, it doesn't seem likely that they will stop. His amber eyes rest on the apprentice, who looks pretty torn up. Lyric must have done that, she's quite the vicious fighter. Though she does have a tendency to jump the gun. "Daisystar, you should learn to take better care of your apprentices." He says casually, keeping up his calm facade. Antagonizing Thunderclan probably isn't the best move, but he can't resist taking advantage of the situation. The chances are pretty low that he'll ever have Daisystar alone again.

Lyric turns towards Nezumi and dipped her head apologetically. "This apprentice decided he could go wherever he wanted. I thought I should teach him a lesson." She sat down and wrapped her tail around her paws. She couldn't hold back a smirk when she heard Nezumi speak to Daisystar.
Daisystar narrowed her eyes at Nezumi. "And you should learn how to lead a clan. Can't you control your beta? Or do you let all your clanmates falsely accuse other clans of something they didn't do and then attack helpless cats." she replied sharply, and stalked up to the border, bristling. "I suggest you keep your clan under control, unless you want problems." Lyric stood, "It's not falsely accusing if it's true, Daisystar. And the foolish apprentice had it coming. If he doesn't want to get hurt, he should learn not to cross a border, get all up in a cat's face, and insult their clan. He needed a lesson of respect." she paused for a moment, and than spoke, "We can threaten too, Daisystar. Your warnings are meaningless, so I suggest you not try." Her voice was level, yet her eyes contained a challenge, as if she was daring Daisystar to deny what she had just said.

Falconpaw unstedaly got to his feet and once the spinning stopped he saw lyric babbling on about some stupid threatening thing. After she stopped talking he looked up at daisystar "Im sorry, but why do they always have to get angery about something that they started. I caught that vole fairly they are just jealous of our clan," he mumbles quietly "I really am sorry that i got angery." Looking down shuffling his paws he hissed "Im not going to be bossed around by some wanna be clan. I am sorry to embarres you." Stumbling around he descovered how badly injured he really was. Looking at his stomake he almosed passed out seeing the blood. Stubling he fell down and looked up at lyric growling "You will never be seen as a clan." before finaly passing out.

Nezumi glances at Lyric. "If that's the case, then I can't really say anything against Lyric. Apprentices shouldn't be so stupid." He turns to look at Daisystar. "You, on the other hand, shouldn't be so rude. I can promise you that my clan will be alive long after yours is dead." He lifts one paw to his lips and licks his claws.
When the apprentice begins talking, the Stormclan leader listens quietly for a moment, waiting until the apprentice has passed out before he speaks. His ears twitch and he stands up. The places on his pelt that are hit by the sunlight suddenly look more brownish than black. "I've already decided that acceptance coming from the likes of you is worthless. I frankly don't care whether you recognize us as a clan or not. We exist, therefore we are, and it is stupid on your part not to realize that." His amber eyes narrow and darken, seeming more red than anything at this point.
Originally, all he had wanted was to achieve equal status to the most powerful cats in these clans; the leaders. He's not such an idiot to think that status is everything, but after moons of watching cats swear their allegiance to leaders and clans he had come to the conclusion that prestige is just an easy way to increase a cat's power. If he wanted, he could destroy these cats as easily as he catches a mouse. He doesn't even need the Stormclan cats, they had just decided to tag along and he had let them. However, he doesn't want broken toys. His way of doing things will just make the future much sweeter. He raises his lips slightly to show the tips of his teeth. "Well, Daisystar. Are you going to tell me that you are so important that my clan's existence relies on your approval? I don't recognize you as a god."
